Writing an article for this song

Another Believer, MaranoFan: Do you think it would be a good idea to write an article for "Bad Idea"? I would like to, but I don't want it to be redirected again. --Paparazzzi (talk) 04:16, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

Paparazzzi, Sorry, I have no idea whether or not the song meets notability criteria. I'd start by finding chart positions and reviews of the song specifically (not just albums reviews with mentions of the song). ---Another Believer (Talk) 04:18, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

@Another Believer: Why was this created? There is zero standalone coverage. This isn't Ariana Grande Fandom Wiki, we don't need an article for all her songs. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 16:35, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

@MaranoFan:@Another Believer:@Paparazzzi: Why won't anyone respond to this? And we definitely should not create an article on every song from any album. This isn't Fandom Wiki, it's Wikipedia. We don't need an article for every song by a popular artist, especially "Bad Idea" considering that there aren't any sources that are specifically talking about this song. Every source used is about Thank U, Next or is a chart position. I already tried to redirect it since it's pretty obvious this song isn't notable and Another Believer reverted it with the "edit summary" of "Restore", which is not a valid reason to restore the content. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 12:38, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Billiekhalidfan, I'd argue the song is notable based on chart positions, but acknowledge other editors have stricter standards and want to see sufficient secondary coverage specifically about the song. I've not done enough research, but would prefer to see the article kept for now. ---Another Believer (Talk) 13:01, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
BKF, if you can read, I wrote that the article should be created if there is standalone coverage from at least two reliable sources. Proceed to AfD it if you want and stop bickering.—NØ 13:49, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
First of all, stop being rude for no reason. Second of all, yes, you did say the article should be created if there is standalone coverage from at least two reliable sources. But the problem is, there isn't any standalone coverage. Third of all, can you read because it looks to me that the two sources other than charts/streaming services are talking about the album, not the song. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 14:00, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
I'll green quote it this time so that it will hopefully be easier to read. Proceed to AfD it if you want and stop bickering.NØ 14:05, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

@Paparazzzi: Thanks for your work on this article! Looking good, and IMO, helping to clearly demonstrate notability. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:01, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

Sources

I'm not suggesting these establish notability, which is currently being discussed above. Just starting to collect some sources for possible future expansion. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:14, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

@Billiekhalidfan and MaranoFan: Re: genres for infobox, I see both "hip hop" and "pop" mentioned above. Noting since Billiekhalidfan (appropriately) removed "hip hop" from the infobox, but asking for reconsideration. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:17, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Those genres don't seem very explicitly stated to me, but fine with them being added. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 14:34, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Billiekhalidfan, Ok, I'll let others decide. Also, I added back WikiProject Hip hop per "trap" in the infobox and article's prose. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:41, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

Jenesaispop

Is Jenesaispop a reliable source and worth keeping in the article? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:42, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

Don't know if this is a guideline, but I generally consider websites that are not notable enough to have their own article to be unreliable. But that might just be me. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 15:44, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Billiekhalidfan, That's my understanding as well. But if you search "Jenesaispop" in the Wikipedia search bar, you'll see many articles use this website, and there is an article about Jenesaispop at Spanish Wikipedia: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenesaispop. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:46, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Jenesaispop is one of the most reliable and popular websites in Spanish. It is heavily used in the Spanish Wikipedia (and here as you might have noticed). It is not a blog, it is run by a group of Spanish journalists who previously worked in other websites/newspapers. Probably the reason why it does not have an article on this Wiki could be the fact that it is a non-English website. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 23:24, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
