Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Baju Kurung. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Baju Kurung

edit

In order to take this page seriously, it needs to have an academic paper writing. So far the Indonesians have no given any academic proof that Baju Kurung originated from Indonesia, this is vandalism and purposefully disgracing other country especially Malaysia. Baju Kurung is part of Malay culture regardless of citizenship but we should not forget where it first started. So please don't use random blogs just to show that Baju Kurung originated from Indonesia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Malaysianwarrior1957 (talkcontribs) 17:11, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Baju Kurung (Jawi: باجو كوروڠ) is a traditional costume originated from the Malay peninsula [1][2], and is traditionally worn by women in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and southern Thailand. This type of traditional costume is the national dress of Brunei and Malaysia. In Indonesia, it is also one of the regional dresses, seen most on the island of Sumatra and is worn by the local Indonesian Malays and Minangkabau.

(note: I have made numerous research regarding Baju Kurung, my degree is about Malay culture and I have not found any sources regarding the Sumatran origin of the clothing. It is well accepted by historians in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia that it originated from Malaccan Sultanate (specifically the city of Malacca) around 600 years ago. So I am not being judgmental I'm just stating facts. So I only made very small edit that is adding reference to Baju Kurung) Tellisavas (talk) 07:13, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
