Please link the firm's entry to the following category list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Law_firms_of_the_United_States

Since Baker is a law firm in the United States and is substantially larger in size and scope than other firms already on the page.

Also, please change the name of the firm's Wiki page to "Baker Hostetler" without the ampersand. Since our rebranding in 2007, we have stopped using the ampersand in our external marketing. Thank you.

Spam

edit

The current version of this article is an advertisement which reads like it was lifted from a brochure somewhere. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:10, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have removed most of the spam, tagged for citation where appropriate, added an infobox, moved the page and added the category. Still pretty thin, but it's better than it was. Bovlb (talk) 21:49, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm out of time right now, but here are some potential sources: [1][2][3][4] Bovlb (talk) 22:07, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unsubstantiated posting

edit

The comment, "In 2008, Baker Hostetler's New York office enganged in unethical labor practices directly affecting many of their New York staff.[citation "needed]," is unsubtantiated/has not had a citation provided, as requested. For this reason, the firm would like for this comment to be removed.CG1214 (talk) 13:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Eyewitness" account

edit

There is no evidence to substantiate the claim of unethical labor practices; an "eyewitness account" does not constitute third-party validation/confirmation. This posting should be removed immeciatelyCG1214 (talk) 14:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)CG1214Reply

You are correct that an eyewitness account does not constitute a reliable source. As the paragraph is explicit about its lack of sourcing, I have removed it. Bovlb (talk) 17:02, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Abuse of posting privilege

edit

Once again, a completely unsubstantiated posting has been added to the firm's profile page ("In 2008, Baker Hostetler engaged in suspect labor disputes with it's employees") by the same user who had previously posted similar comments. This should be removed immediately and this user should be prohibited from posting similar comments in the future to this page.CG1214 (talk) 20:23, 23 May 2008 (UTC)CG1214.Reply

Sarbanes-Oxley

edit

The language describing Sarbanes-Oxley is uniformly positive not does not comply with the NPOV policy. Knowledgeable people have a range of opinions on Sarbanes-Oxley, and it should either be characterized neutrally, or with reference to both positive and negative views of the legislation. With this reversion, User:152.121.17.254 has engaged in WP:EDITWAR. Should he persist despite my repeated warnings, I shall report him at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. The underlying issue, as explained in my edit summary, is that Fusion GPS was never a client of BakerHostetler. It was the other way around.
