Nuclear accident in 1985

edit

This site: [[1]] has these sentences:"Pages 16-19 list nuclear "Precursors of the Disaster" from 1951 to 1986 in the United States and from the September 1957 spontaneous nuclear reaction in spent fuel at the reactor near Chelyabinsk ("livestock was destroyed and buried in pits" p. 18) to a steam release on June 27, 1985 which killed fourteen people in No. 1 reactor of the Balakovo nuclear power station in the Soviet Union." This article has nothing, about this nuclear accident in 1985.Agre22 (talk) 23:41, 19 March 2009 (UTC)agre22Reply

The first incident with the livestock was at a plant near Chelyabinsk, however the start-up accident in June 1985 deserves attention in this article. I'll write something up just as soon as I scrounge up some more information. Amlz (talk) 14:19, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Balakovo NPP participates in a twinning program between nuclear power stations in Europe and Russia; since 1990 it has been in partnership with Biblis Nuclear Power Plant." -> is this still ongoing? There is a war going on and Biblis was shut down and is not operating anymore --Michael Sch. (talk) 21:04, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
