Stop and Proceed

edit

@Arg342: Thank you for this very intereting article. I recommend introducing the "Stop and Proceed" rule at an earlier stage, e.g. "The "Stop and Proceed" railway rule at the time permitted the 7:40 to move ahead cautiously after waiting at a stop signal for two minutes." instead of "Railway rules at the time ..." However, it is stated later that this "rule was unheard of in Britain", which makes me wonder. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 09:37, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@NearEMPTiness: I've added a paragraph to the Background and reworded the sentence in the Collision section. I hope this improves the understanding. Thanks! --Arg342 (talk) 00:48, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, this is a major improvement. Some car drivers follow the same procedure, if a red traffic light doesn't switch to green. In Germany there are some court cases about this. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 07:09, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
