editThis article should not be deleted because of the historical importance of the Bama State Collegians. In 1934, the entire group became the Erskine Hawkins Orchestra, recording hit records such as Tuxedo Junction (#7 nationally by Erskine Hawkins and #1 by Glenn Miller). Members of this band worked with the NBC Orchestra, Lucky Millinder Orchestra, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and others.
