Orphaned references in Bamyan Province

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Bamyan Province's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:19, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Districts

edit

Khestwol, you've added a table of the population by districts. Do you have an idea what it was based on? The source for the total population immediately above has a breakdown by district, but the numbers are quite different. – Uanfala 18:13, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think the district names must be kept. They are sourced, they have WP articles on them. Though we can remove the population numbers if they are unsourced or dubious. Khestwol (talk) 12:31, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Now they are. But even that I had to clean up: the name of one of the districts was given as "Sayghan OR". Where did that even come from? It seems to have been introduced in a series of questionable edits in 2015. This only highlights the pertinance for this topic area of one general wikipedia principle: Never restore text from older revisions of a page unless you've chekced its sources. – Uanfala 13:31, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
