I'm a grad student who's seen real Banach limits but not complex ones. I don't really have enough knowledge to edit, but I can still nitpick! A couple of possible issues:
- I'm very skeptical about the fact that you're talking about \phi as a function from the space of all bounded complex sequences to the reals that agrees with lim.
- The standard derivation of Banach limits works by extending from the Cesaro mean, which is more general than lim. In practice I'm not certain whether the Banach limits of sequences with Cesaro means are uniquely determined, but it would probably be worth discussing either way.
