Help with section about War with Krishna

edit

I was attempting to copy edit the War with Krishna section, but after the first few sentences was unable to follow the thread of the narrative. Can someone from the Hindu mythology task force help clean this up? Kristin.sweeney (talk) 16:43, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The section has been revamped now with appropriate links given. As I had mentioned in this page Indian subcontinent is known for notorious fights between Shaivaites and Vaishnavites. These groups have effectively managed to rewrite Shiv and Padhma Puranas as per thier beliefs. I've citied a genunine source for the war between Krishna and Mahadeva. This war is more like Lord Krishna fighting his own ahangara(ego) and conquering it which he does that every Yuga that would eventually lead to Pralaya. TheCarribeanKid (talk).

Kanya Kumari

edit

I think it’s fairly important to also add to the article that Kanya Kumari killed Banasura. After all, Devi Parvati, or Adi Shakti, reincarnated as Kanya Kumari with the purpose to kill Banasura. 104.230.12.92 (talk) 21:49, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

It is true that the regional legend of Kanyakumari describes the eponymous goddess killing Banasura, but he is not the same Banasura of this article, whose legend ends with his defeat by Krishna. Chronikhiles (talk) 11:24, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
