Requested move
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was moved to Bandy World Championship for men. --BDD (talk) 16:51, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Bandy World Championships → Bandy World Championships for men – The men's competition is at Bandy World Championships and should probably be moved to Bandy World Championships for men while Bandy World Championships should be a disambiguation page also pointing to the women's. Relisted Hot Stop talk-contribs 03:55, 11 March 2014 (UTC) Bandy boy (talk) 14:41, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
- Comment. What do reliable sources say are the most common names for the two competitions? For example, there is the National Basketball Association and the Women's National Basketball Association, not the "National Basketball Association for men" and the "National Basketball Association for women". And there is the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Women's World Cup, not the "FIFA World Cup for men" and the "FIFA World Cup for women" Zzyzx11 (talk) 04:06, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- Answer: They are not organisations, they are not "called" anything special. They both are the Bandy World Championship(s). Bandy boy (talk) 19:46, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

- Bandy boy, are you ok with Bandy World Championship for men? --BDD (talk) 19:09, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Medals for Russia and Soviet Union
editWhy are the Soviet medals counted as Russian medals rather than as for a country of them own? Of course, Russia is the successor state of the USSR in bandy as well as in most instances of international politics and diplomatic relations, but still, the change here (made by ip number 217.22.164.146 in April this year) have been made without any discussion and there is not even a note in the text explaining it. Should it be like this or should it be changed back? Snowsuit Wearer (talk|contribs) 10:45, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- I think that medal counts should reflect what sources say, especially the respective federation and specialised media. I mean, if we decided whether to combine them or not, that would be original research. --NaBUru38 (talk) 22:07, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- That's reasonable, but I can't find any information about this at the FIB homepage, so I don't know what to do. Snowsuit Wearer (talk|contribs) 16:40, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Anyway, I changed it back now. Whatever you do, a change like that shouldn't have been made without discussing it first. Snowsuit Wearer (talk|contribs) 11:20, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
Participating teams table
editWould it be possible to split this table up per decade or so? It's a bit too big to fit in the phone's display as it is. Skogsvandraren (talk) 06:45, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Bandy World Championship for men → Bandy World Championship – Common name (without "for men"), see 2015 Bandy World Championship. Rename instead of disambig Bandy World Championship. Compare: Ice Hockey World Championships and IIHF World Women's Championships. 95.133.216.22 (talk) 16:43, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
