One thing is not written in this all information which was the surrounding wall all over the city of bannu, which destroyed by Akramkhan Durani governament for expansion of Bannu city if some body has actual history about that should to be added to this information because that also part of bannu history.

It is defense colony and it is the most beautiful place in bannu. there are khattak and other people also live here Army people and their offices are also in cantt. All the people of cantt including army families having good understanding among them There are family parks and boys parks separate and the sides are decorated very beautiful And with in every two months different programs are arranged by Army the people to provide refreshment to people of bannu canttand its outer areas as well. Bannu cantt is a beautiful place to stay and live . presently it is not in a good shape due to the prevailing law and order situation.Some times back it used to be one of the beautiful cantt in Pakistan having all the facilities of daily life. even the outsiders use to prefer to be posted to bannu cantt due to its easy access and friendly enviornment.Good schools for children, good CMH, easily available and cheep daily use items and above all the friendly and respectfull attitude of the native people was a source of attraction. Stable version?

This page is undergoing rapid editing by IP users who are adding original research, personal opinions, unsourced content, and non-encyclopedic content. What was the last stable version of this page that we can revert to?FrigidNinja (talk) 23:32, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

It is a bit of a mess, and it's way too long, isn't it? And completely unsourced. This version from January 17[1] is decent, though I would still delete the unsourced Health sections. As of right now, it's at 269,420 bytes - for comparison, the Pakistan article is 147,260 bytes and the USA article is 197,964 bytes. There's just no reason for this article to be so long.

I hope that the editors of this article will engage in a discussion here - this page badly needs sourcing, copyediting, and pruning. Can we all work together to improve it? Can we find some sources and decide what can be deleted? Thanks, Dawn Bard (talk) 14:51, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Bannu District vs Bannu

It seems to me that a lot of the information added to the page in recent weeks is actually more about the Bannu District than about the city of Bannu. Does anyone else agree? Bannu District has its own article, so there is no reason for this article about the village to have so much info about the district as a whole. In the spirit of WP:BRD, I hope we can discuss here

I hope we can discuss my recent edit, in which I reverted a tonne of new content.[2] The content I deleted is a sweeping history of Bannu district, which has its own article; this article is meant to be about the city of Bannu. Additionally, it's just way too long. And, because of previous versions of the page, I'm concerned that large chunks of this are copied or closely paraphrased from books. The City of Bannu, not the District of Bannu

This article still contains historical information about Bannu District that pre-dates the establishment of the City of Bannu in 1848 by Herbert Edwardes. Should all this information be removed? It appears to be irrelevant to this article.--Exemplo347 (talk) 17:09, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
