editCan we move this to Banshee (media player)? GabrielBurt (talk) 18:55, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
1.5.0 is not a stable release. The 1.5.x releases are beta releases for the eventual Banshee 1.6.0. This is detailed on the official blog. http://banshee-project.org/blog/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.188.236.127 (talk • contribs) 22:36, 26 June 2009
Only include stable releases in the release history?
editThe release history is quite long, and include both stable and preview releases. Since everyting in preview releases also are included in the stable releases, it's no point to include both. If no one disagree, I'm going to remove all of the preview releases. Jonny2BeGood (talk) 09:35, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Banshee (media player) → Banshee (software) – Consistency User:ScotXWt@lk 16:08, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support, the current title is needlessly specific, the only other Banshee software I know is Banshee (video game), which is already disambiguated sufficiently. JIP | Talk 17:06, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. A video game is a form of software, so the proposed new title could apply to the game. The current title is hardly any longer, so I see no reason to introduce avoidable ambiguity. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 21:18, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support WP:D, which prefers concise and consistent disambiguators. The proposed title already redirects here. Video games are technically software, but we don't name them as such because that's a very unlikely way to search for information on a video game. --BDD (talk) 17:12, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose – per BrownHairedGirl: "software" would still be ambiguous. There's little reason for someone who runs across "software" as disambiguator to confidently infer that it doesn't apply to a video game, so it's still ambiguous. Also, Banshee (software) should redirect to Banshee (disambiguation) per WP:INCOMPDAB, and I will fix that. ENeville (talk) 19:31, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose per BrownHairedGirl. Disambiguating terms cannot be inherently ambiguous; otherwise, what's the point of them? "Software" is an ambiguous term with respect to video games, so it cannot be used to disambiguate from a video game. Xoloz (talk) 18:04, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
