I am about to rewrite this article almost completely.
The first sentence of the current article (above the Table of Contents) illustrates the need for an overhaul: "Barbara Milberg Fisher (born 1931) is widely credited with significantly altering the art form of dance." This claim might be reasonably made of George Balanchine, but it does not apply to Barbara Milberg Fisher.
Normally, it would be a mistake for me to rewrite this article, since the subject is my mother. I am entering the text sent to me by Mindy Aloff, who is suitably detached from the subject.
