The serjeanty
editSorry, there's a lot to sort out here to restore a degree of accuracy and I'm in the midle of a different job at the moment, so perhaps someone can fix the connected problems. Round's book is the place to start. It dates from 1911, not 1971. The material on the relevant serjeanty (not serjeantry) is here https://archive.org/details/cu31924091024863/page/n271 and following pages. The Internet Archive copy is a good one and makes it easy to include an accurate URL for page references. In fact, the serjeanty was dual, and the holder also had to prepare chicken kebabs for the newly-crowned monarch. Sjwells53 (talk) 13:13, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
