This artcle seems very POV throughout. Anybody agree? Also, it is written in a sloppy manner, rather than an encyclopedic manner. It almost needs to be deleted and rewritten entirely.

For now, I am going to do you a favor and edit the remark that was put in red at the top of the page by someone who was too lazy to create this talk page. --Coryma 19:24, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Traditionally a sugar-producing region, the industry has been affected by state-imposed price control and sugar has been scarce for a over a year. Many small businesses specializing in dessert making or anything that depends on sugar production have had to close down."

--I'm going to eliminate the statement "no sign of sugar anywhere" at the top of the page, it is misleading and dishonest and carries political undertones. I was in Barquisimeto last month...and this statement is just plain dishonest and unnecessary.--76.19.118.125 11:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Cardenales de Lara logo.gif

edit

Image:Cardenales de Lara logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cleanup

edit

I spent several hours cleaning the article but ran out of time before the job was finished. It still needs a fair amount of "translation" into good English, getting rid of unnecessary wikilinks, fact-checking and adding references, NPOV-ification, etc. The Divina Pastora section is a bit more detailed than it needs to be, but there is almost nothing about her anywhere else in en:Wikipedia, so I would like to keep it here until a separate article can be written. FWIW, I think we should use the English version of her name (Divine Shepherdess) but came to that opinion fairly late in the process. Peter Chastain (talk) 13:19, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Estadiometropolitanocolombiausa1.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit
An image used in this article, File:Estadiometropolitanocolombiausa1.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Estadiometropolitanocolombiausa1.jpg)
