Is this actually a town?

edit

I suspect this may actually be a station (cattle/sheep property) rather than a town. There is no sign of the town at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian Electoral Commision or the NSW Electoral Commision. It was common for indigenous Australians to grow up on cattle stations in the era around the turn of the century. many Aboriginal families worked on the stations, herding cattle and sheep etc. More evidence of the existence of a town is needed, I think especially as Google Maps doesn't turn up much either. -- Mattinbgn\talk 11:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note:There does appear to be a place called Baryulgil (note the syllable swap) on the Clarence River. See here and here. -- Mattinbgn\talk 12:03, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Pretty sure now that this should be at Baryulgil, New South Wales. Will wait for discussion below since I am not the creator of the article. -- Mattinbgn\talk 12:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is described as a parish by the Geographical Names Board, and it probably should be renamed to Yulgilbar Parish, Clarence according to the conventions. But it was created in 1971 (!) and is not listed in Clarence County, New South Wales. Note also the history "Name of the prpoerty of Edward D.S. Ogilvie".--Grahame (talk) 03:18, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is an actual place. It is currently little more than a small settlement but still has a school, for example. Historically, it was a fairly thriving little town when mining occurred in the area until the 1970's. Yendor of yinn (talk) 10:47, 15 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
