"Virgin Vein" [citation needed]
editWhat is the source for this claim? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ddhelmet (talk • contribs) 16:06, 11 November 2017 (UTC) Ddhelmet (talk) 16:10, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
I do not recall the original literature source where I read that the basilic vein is nicknamed the "virgin vein" for the reason I indicated in my write-up. But these references are common, e.g., https://www.indjvascsurg.org/article.asp?issn=0972-0820;year=2020;volume=7;issue=4;spage=411;epage=414;aulast=Baliga Also, as an EMT I have heard many IV nurses refer to the basilic vein as such, but can Wikipedia articles be referenced "Personal Communication" or does this violate the editorial preference for secondary sources?--Erasistratus1 (talk) 08:17, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
