This article, along with the Men's article, needs an explanation of FIBA's ranking points system, which is so stupid that I couldn't believe it really is just "1 point for showing up, another point for winning", but apparently that's the system. I can't find a source for that, but I'm willing to believe it. I added an explanation, which was reverted. I am happy for someone else to add a better explanation, but no explanation is not acceptable. Rks13 (talk) 21:38, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Just because you find it stupid (not saying that i like it), does not mean it needs to be explained more as it was never a problem over all the years and is the first time being questioned. But yeah, everything is a first at some point, but i can't find a source explaining why it is handled that way (just the FIBA rules, p.78). And i think it would be more for the FIBA article IF anywhere. Maybe you want to bring it up at WP: Basketball and ask for further input, as i don't say my view is the corret one.
