Formula corrections

On Oct 26, 67.188.60.130 noted that some of the formulae needs to be corrected. I have tried to be quite careful with getting the formulae correct, but if anyone wants to point out exactly what the problem is, I shall happily apply the fix. Until then, I have reverted the change. Comments should be made on the discussion page, not the main page. Apdevries 21:28, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

formulae boxes

Hi.

I have noticed that there are pink boxes around all the equations. Is this meant to be so? I don't think any mathematics pages are written in this style.

Cheers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Forwardmeasure (talkcontribs) 21:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC).

first figure

please put some caption... figure is not quite understandable... 79.101.174.192 (talk) 02:46, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

formula error

the first formula in the article should have a coefficient of "q", not "q/m". I'm looking at a 1999 ppt presentation from Frank Bass with the formula on slide 9. In any case, all the terms need to be dimensionless, and the "m" introduces a dimension that's not cancellable.

yes indeed. You can compare with the formula appearing on the german wikipedia page. The correct formula should be:
f(t) / (1-F(t)) = p + q * f(t) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.186.18.239 (talk) 12:50, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
I fixed the error

Additional reference

The article would benefit from a reference supporting the discussion of the multiple-generation model; that article is Norton, John, and Frank M. Bass, "A Diffusion Theory Model of Adoption and Substitution for Successive Generations of High Technology Products," Management Science 33, 9 (September) 1987.

Can someone add it to reflist, and put in a proper footnote? I don't know how to edit properly in wikipedia. Thanks. Jnorton22354418 (talk) 18:20, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
