References in past tense

edit

Why is it that, throughout the article, the books are refered to in the past tense, despite the fact that they are listed as books that are going to be published starting in June of '06? If they have not yet been published, how can they be refered to in the past tense? --Charles 04:36, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Missing Story

edit

IIRC, this article's missing the Dini/Ross story "Case Study", which was published in #2. I'm not absolutely certain it was in #2, but that's the one it's included with in the trade. Someone want to confirm this? --Scion, LSCM webmaster

Error in statement concerning "volume two".

edit

Article currently states, "Volume 2 was initially published as hardcover book, these stories were latter reprinted as backup stories in Batman: Gotham Knights." I believe that this is actually the reverse of what happened. The stories included in the volume two collection were actually first released as back-ups in the Batman: Gotham Knights comic book series.

From solicitation information on DC Comics website (this specifically for the volume two softcover edition): "Collecting the first sixteen Batman backups from BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS plus 40 pages of material commissioned for the hardcover in a softcover edition!"

(A volume three softcover collection has just been solicited for May 2007. No information at this time as to how many of the Batman: Gotham Knights stories will be reprinted in this collection, nor if there will be more original material commissioned exclusively for the collections.)

Unfortuneately I have no documentation supporting this but clearly remember the Hardcover book came first before the issues of Gotham Knights. I recall this precisely because it is, and seemed at the time, the opposite of what would be expected. Possibly a few issues Gotham knights had been published before the book, but definately the book was available before the bulk of the Gotham Knights issues. The softcover did come after the Gotham Knights issues, so it could be a collection of the issues rather than a reprint of the hardcover (But that's just semantics) - Waza 21:49, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I partially correct myself. The back of my hardcover edition states that it reprints 16 stories from Gotham Knights and hasd 5 new never-before-seen stories. I will correct the article. - Waza 08:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Timeline Conflict:Gotham Knights and Batman:BaW.

edit

I have an issue of Gotham Knights along with the 4th volume of Batman:Black and White(Only due to Brian Bollard is featured in it)and in the BatSignals section;the editor has written that the fans who are dissapointed by Gotham Knights and Gotham Ordinary People should look out for the upcoming 2nd issue of Batman Black and White. So it can be deduced that Gotham Knights ran before the Full series of Black and White.I can scan the page that I'm quoting above but it might be a copyright violation.Anyway; The Black and White serires is by far much much better than Gotham Knights.--asydwaters 14:41, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Colon in titles?

edit

DC give it with, as does the Comic Book DB, but GCDB doesn't. Which is right? (Emperor (talk) 03:30, 15 September 2009 (UTC))Reply

I tend to go with the GCDB since they use the indicia information. Hence the move. Someone who has got the mini want to confirm? - J Greb (talk) 13:49, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Plot summaries

edit

All these plot summaries seem excessive to me for such short stories. -- Beardo (talk) 02:59, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
