Where is Bong Son?
editWhere is Bong Son? There is no article and no match on Google Maps, either with the anglicized spelling or as Bồng Sơn. All we know is that it is somewhere in the Hoài Nhơn district. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdz (talk • contribs) 20:57, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Bong Son was a village on QL 1 located on the Song Lai Giang in what was then South Vietnam. It was in Binh Dinh Province.Intothatdarkness (talk) 22:05, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Iron Triangle
editThe Iron Triangle was actually a region roughly west of Saigon in the III CTZ. Bong Son was north of that area. Perhaps the lead should be corrected?Intothatdarkness (talk) 22:16, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Confusion
editOperation Irving took place from 2-24 October 1966 see[1]. What is described here appears to be part of Operation Masher, see [2] and so should be consolidated into that page. Mztourist (talk) 03:36, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- I've started work on revising Operation Masher. When I'm finished I think this article should be deleted. Smallchief (talk 22:44, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
