What battle is this?
editThe mentions I've found of this battle in the O.R. and elsewhere are actually a skirmish on Aug. 19/20, 1861 or an "expediton to Charleston" on October 2. Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the war in this section of Missouri other than a few major events. Red Harvest (talk) 16:26, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Time to merge article and turn this into redirect
editIt has been 6 years and little has changed in this stub. There is very little to report on the event, making its notability dubious. The best solution would be to roll it into an existing article as a paragraph and convert this page into a redirect to that section. I would put in in the Battle of Belmont article, but the operation precedes that. Perhaps the best answer would be to put it into a section about Col. Henry Dougherty who does not yet have an article. Red Harvest (talk) 00:38, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
