Edits - removed Metis responsibility for looting
editI have edited this article and removed the section claiming that Metis were responsible for the looting and burning in Battleford. This is a modern fiction that is not supported by any source from the time; in fact, a large party of local Metis took shelter in the Fort, and some served in the Battleford Rifles and the Battleford Home Guard.
Inaccurate citation
edit'Otter and most of his soldiers survived their battle and emerged with a new respect for native warriors.[12]'
The source does not say anything about this. Perhaps a different page of the (non-NPOV) source should be found? 206.47.112.125 (talk) 14:12, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
William Otter
editI don't know how to fix it, as I am just a user of Wikipedia, but the link for William Otter links to the wrong William Otter. Someone with the knowledge should perhaps fix this. 142.162.165.30 (talk) 14:13, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- I fixed it. Thank you for pointing it out. Indefatigable (talk) 16:04, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
