Suggested move
editMost sources I have seen refer to this battle as "Firket" rather than "Ferkeh". On Google "battle of Ferkeh" gets 67 hits, while "battle of Firket" gets 533 hits. So if noone disagrees, I'll move this article to Battle of Firket.--Raoulduke47 16:21, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- I decided to redirect Battle of Firket to Battle of Ferkeh. --Ineffable3000 22:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- And what, pray, is the rationale for this decision? --Raoulduke47 22:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- My books and other encyclopedias say that it is called the Battle of Ferkeh. However, some legitimate Google sources refer to it as the Battle of Firket. --Ineffable3000 23:11, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

the last time in which British troops fought in red
editThis is a redundant detail, since the last recorded use of red coats in action was the by Maxim sections of the Connaught Rangers ad North Staffordshire Regiment at Omdurman in 1898, as recorded by Lieutenant Winston Churchill in his account 'The River War.'
