editFixed up some of the phrasing of the article. Made it a little more articulate. Also fixed the formatting of the page with the rearrangement of the article and warbox. Good article though, just needs some expansion. Is there a way to add this article to the links of battles available in the 2001 war in Afghanistan campaign box. It currently isn't available.--Arsenous Commodore 22:29, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
I took out several references to the word "Canadian". The article makes it clear at the beginning who the primary coalition force was in this instance, so using the word "Canadian" often twice in the same sentence is a little cumbersome. ComaDivine 11:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
How do I put this battle into the "war box" that includes battles like tora bora, anaconda, mountain thrust......etc? Hellopple 3:27, 2 December 2006
The Campaignbox, you mean. It has to be changed on the actual template, which is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Campaignbox_U.S._Invasion_of_Afghanistan
Before you add this battle - note that it was a part of Operation Medusa, which is already listed. ComaDivine 00:49, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Nice addition of pictures, spruced up the article. My earlier question coincided with Hellopple, I'm glad to see that it's now included. And also thanks for the answer Coma.--Arsenous Commodore 15:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, that was me... Hellopple... I had just forgotten to add my screenname to the post. Thanks for compliments. User:Hellopple 3:50 atlantic, 6 December (UTC)
I have added a few sections including Post Medusa combat, OP Falcon Summit, and Spring fighting to the article. What does anyone think of it? User:Hellopple
Excellent job Hellopple! Any expansion is always good. And this is definitely a good addition of segments. I have heard that Canada will be taking part in another phase of the battles/war in Afghanistan called Operation Baaz Tsuka. Of course it is with the assistance of NATO. Have you heard of this next operation? Do you think it should be merged with this one, "Panjwaii" or a whole separate/new article? --Arsenous Commodore 22:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Baaz Tsuka is Falcon Summit. It is just the same name in the local Afghan language. But as for the merging or seperate article... I was thinking of adding First Battle of Panjwaii, to the heading of the article that is dedicated to Mountain Thrust, Second Battle of Panjwaii to the Medusa section heading, and if the Falcon Summit/ Baaz Tsuka breaks out into heavy combat I would add the third Battle of Panjwaii to the heading for that section as well. I might also create a whole seperate article for Falcon Summit/Baaz Tsuka if the operation deepens the way it is expected to. What do you think of those ideas? --Hellopple 9:15 Atlantic. Dec 18/06
- Oops. Yeah you caught me; that was my mistake. I think your idea is a good one. Since this operation is still fresh and we haven't witnessed any large combat, let's keep it from being a separate article for now. In all, I like your plan Hellopple. It be nice to see what others think too though (hope they write) before we go about it I guess.--Arsenous Commodore 21:55, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I have just created a new article about the operation falcon summit. Part way through though someone else deciided to re-write several parts, clear out several parts and rename the article and give it a re-direct. It took me a while to get it back to normal but it is now. (for the time being) :) --Hellopple 12:35 pm, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Brilliant job Hellopple. And it only took you a couple of days, I was very impressed to see it and already you attained so much info on the operation even though it's so new. --Arsenous Commodore 17:18, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Slight upgrades and whatnot Hellopple 12 midnight 21 May 07
Has nayone compiled an order of battle for the coalition forces? If so, it shouldld be here, or at least be refernced here.Mikedelsol 10:20, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Should we really list the Governor-General as the main commander of the Canadian Forces? Constitutionally, yes.. but is it good form? On pages in which UK battles are described, is The Queen listed as the primary commander? What about for other nations that have a monarchy? Junius52 (talk) 19:26, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Civilian toll
editThe 'Civilian toll' section contains two contradictory statements:
- The Battle of Panjwaii was very light on the side of civilian casualties. – It would be better to specify the number of civilian casualties instead of making a subjective judgment that they were "very light".
- NATO did, however, confirm that a large number of civilians were killed in the attack ... .
I would be grateful if anyone with more knowledge of the topic and relevant sources could resolve this incoherency. Thanks, -- Black Falcon (talk) 00:31, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
