Background section sentence

edit

Karanacs, the sentence "In October, Texians, English-speaking settlers in the Mexican border region of Texas, took up arms in what became known as the Texas Revolution." maybe could be tweaked. It wasn't just the English-speaking settlers in the border areas, because the extended (Victoria area) De Leon clan was aligned with Stephen F. Austin and others. I know José María Jesús Carbajal signed the Goliad Declaration of Independence as M. Carbajal. According to the Poyo book Tejano Journey, Plácido Benavides had a company of 30 border area Tejanos at the Oct 1835 Battle of Goliad. — Maile (talk) 21:56, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Good point. In October, it was just the Anglos. It spread after that. I'll fix this later this week. (Thanks for the map change too.) Karanacs (talk) 20:51, 15 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
