Background section sentence
editKaranacs, the sentence "In October, Texians, English-speaking settlers in the Mexican border region of Texas, took up arms in what became known as the Texas Revolution." maybe could be tweaked. It wasn't just the English-speaking settlers in the border areas, because the extended (Victoria area) De Leon clan was aligned with Stephen F. Austin and others. I know José María Jesús Carbajal signed the Goliad Declaration of Independence as M. Carbajal. According to the Poyo book Tejano Journey, Plácido Benavides had a company of 30 border area Tejanos at the Oct 1835 Battle of Goliad. — Maile (talk) 21:56, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- Good point. In October, it was just the Anglos. It spread after that. I'll fix this later this week. (Thanks for the map change too.) Karanacs (talk) 20:51, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
