Background

I removed background because it was completely irrelevant and obvious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.127.240.77 (talk) 14:27, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, it would be great if this article could be expanded a little. I'm currently rather mystified as to how a force of about 340 guerrillas defeated a defending force 10 times their size. Did most of the Government troops simply sit on their hands during the battle and do no fighting? Is that why the rebels won? This article is silent on that - it would be useful if someone could do a bit of research. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.174.8.253 (talk) 08:59, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Did most of the Government troops simply sit on their hands during the battle and do no fighting?"

They did do fighting but when push came to shove they would scatter. They weren't fighting for anything they believed in, just a crappy wage. Revolutionaries were fighting for no wage, thus they very willing to fight and die. A battle of wills. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.216.55.13 (talk) 03:45, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"armoured" train?

edit

Just a comment, but based on the photographs provided of a carriage from the "armoured train", it appears not to be a true armoured train, but a normal goods car with loopholes cut in the walls. -- 202.63.39.58 (talk) 11:41, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
