Der Vormach

edit

The final paragraph begins by stating that "General Der Vormach praised the resistance of the students in his report". This links here, where Der Vormach's title is given as "Commandant la 1ère Division Blindée de la Cavalerie Allemande" (his name is also spelled "Der Vornach" in the text). However, I am fairly sure that the German 1st Cavalry Division was at that time commanded by a man called Kurt Feldt, e.g. this, this. There is nothing at all on the internet about a General called Der Vormach, except for a few links sourced from Wikipedia itself. Did General Der Vormach exist? Is his name actually a misreading of "der wehrmacht"? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 16:59, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
