• Do any sources give a reason why the Seleucids sent so few troops in Thessaly?

Prior to the campaign the Aetolians had reassured Antiochus that most Greek states will quickly side with him once he invades the Greek mainland. The Thessalian League was a loose confederacy of city states, therefore it did not pose much of a threat to the Seleucids even though he did not receive the support he had initially expected.--Catlemur (talk) 16:35, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
