Need for expansion

edit

I couldn't find any reference to this battle in my sources. After the Peace of Zsitvatorok in 1606 peace prevailed in the Ottoman-Habsburg front up to 1660s. The only clashes were between Akıncı of Ottomans and of the Hajduks of the Habsburgs. There is also no hint to Ottoman commander Bey Mustafa. In fact although Mustafa is a common name, in Ottoman style, the title is never used in front of the name. Thus to clarify, the artcile should be expanded to cover the background. Mustafa was the Bey of Nógrád or Esztergom Sanjak, there are contradictory sources. A German source, see: Die Schlacht von Vezekény, in English: Lion lost in a cornfield (this Slovak essay uses Slovak names of Hungarian nobles, etc. Forgac). --Norden1990 (talk) 14:59, 28 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
