Universal concern

Ive noticed a lot of other users have very perceptibly realized that this article and others related to this particular Arab Muslim war against the Persians have been sabotaged by at least one useless, violating user with an agenda to glorify or sensationalize the destruction of civilizations by islam. Mohammad adil is the user's name. This and the other related articles should be rewritten as accurately as possible which may be hard since proper sources don't really exist.

Strange style

I may be wrong (I am not a native English speaker), but IMO this article sounds rather like a hero´s tale (or a piece of propaganda) than like an encyclopedic article. Maybe some native speaker could cross check and paste some less pathetic language over it? Thanks a lot. Jan

Too many mistakes

I was reading through the article, and found many mistakes with grammar, punctuation, and the use of words. I'm trying to fix it, but it's way too much. I'll try to fix what I can, but I may not have time.--70.230.200.219 13:39, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I have replaced the article with the new article, hopefully it will be more informative then the previous one more neutral and more wikipedia like !

persian troop types deployment and maneuver

there is a bit in the article about the arab deployment; ie infantry feint/holding front and cavalry flankers but what about the persians, where were the heavy cavalry eg that should have stopped the arab flankers? what about other aspects eg missile deployments, infantry weaponry etc, spear lengths? Islamic sources tells only about the maneuvors of muslim army. for Persian heavy cavalry it was quit impossible to stop the attack of muslim cavalry as the cavalry never out flanked them but actually attacked from behind at the rear of their army, therefore before the persian heavy cavalry could check there advance the muslim light cavalry (that could charge with incradible speed) reached the persian rear, and then a part of it drove away the persian cavalry and encirled the persian army. Khalid ibn Alwalid's Quote

I believe that there is a missquote at the end. In Arabic, the trem holy war is never used. The term holy war would be Harb Muqaddassa, and this was never a common term, not at the time of Khalid, nor today. The more common term would be Jihad, which does not translate as holy war no matter some people might think. It means struggle. In the case of Khalid, his exact words were Struggle with the help of God, or something close to that variation. I also think the figure with the blue forces and red forces should be clearer, as some might not know which color represents which army.
