editIt is nice to find conversion formulas, but for quick reference the inclusion of a conversion table would be desirable. The conversion formulae given in the article (for liquids more dense than water: s.g. = 145 ÷ (145 - degrees Baumé); for liquids less dense than water: s.g. = 140 ÷ (degrees Baumé + 130)) seem doubtful and should be confirmed by references. An old reference book (Smithells, Colin J. and Al (1949). 'Metals Reference Book', page 41) gives the following formulae but does not mention any reference temperature:
