The 'mm' form receives much more hits including official publications.Alexikoua (talk) 21:52, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
I also feel that the Grammata alternative form in lead is warranted provided that several guides and sources use this form (allabouthimara, tripadvisor, visithimara, travelculalbania and scientific works [[1]]).Alexikoua (talk) 22:34, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Indeed. It may even sufficient for a move request. Khirurg (talk) 22:42, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- In Western literature: Cabanes, Hajdari, Winnifrith, Hammond, Longhurst, Bent etc. "Grammata" is the preferred form, thus I can't see a reason why this should be hidden in the lead.Alexikoua (talk) 20:25, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- I am in a hurry in real life rn but anyway you can make a move request if you wish. The bay has many alternate names used here and there: "Grammata", "Gramata", and as @Albert Falk: correctly pointed out, "Gramma". Showing the one you like the most in the lede has no rationale to be supported by. Ktrimi991 (talk) 13:09, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Apart from the singular and plural form of the same word Gram(m)a -ta we have nothing. Expanding the lead with a brief explanation would be a good initiative. It's important for the reader to understand how that name came from and the importance of centuries old incriptions.Alexikoua (talk) 13:19, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- The name section outlines other names or forms like from the classical period and from other languages. Cramming the lede for it is not useful. Ktrimi991 made relevant suggestions on the matter if other editors want to proceed in that direction.Resnjari (talk) 13:23, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Alexikoua, have you ever explained etymologies in the lede of any other place's article? For instance, Greek places with Slavic names? Just out of curiosity. Ktrimi991 (talk) 13:25, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Oh there is plenty. I have many RS sources for those too. Where to begin. Greek Zagori would be one place that pops into my head.Resnjari (talk) 13:27, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Resnjari, the infobox lists as settlements Sarande and Vlora. Is that correct? Are those two cities located in the bay? Ktrimi991 (talk) 13:31, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ktrimi991, those cities are far away from it. The closest settlement (above in the hills) to Grama bay is Dukat, a village inhabited by Muslim and Orthodox Albanians.Resnjari (talk) 13:41, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Then the Settlements parameter should either contain Dukat only or should contain nothing. Do what you think is the best. Frankly, I cant think about Wiki stuff clearly at the moment. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 13:44, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ktrimi991, I guess Dukat. Maps show it as the closest settlement anyway [2].Resnjari (talk) 14:00, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
- It should be stated that Gramma is difficult to be accessed by land, i.e. Dukat isn't a good choice to approach this bay.Alexikoua (talk) 18:26, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

No settlement should be listed. People will misinterpret the box as implying there is a large settled area as part of the bay. There is not. You have to go a considerable distance to find any large settlement. While we were discussing "whose territory" the bay is in, we forgot how to be informative for readers.--Calthinus (talk) 16:48, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
