"A Bayesian is one who, vaguely expecting a horse, and catching a glimpse of a donkey, strongly believes he has seen a mule." (attributed to Karl Pearson)

Cleanup

edit

This dab is a mess, suggest in this order:

  1. Redirect to existing primarytopic/dabconcept (maybe Bayesian statistics or Bayesian probability?)
  2. cleanup putting WP:PTM in See also
  3. WP:Dabconcept (maybe odd for an adjective) Widefox; talk 19:38, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Looks like we're choosing 3. so stubbed. Widefox; talk 00:10, 20 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
This page's title fails wp:noun. Specifically, the "Use Nouns" paragraph describes what to do with an adjective page title like this one. It should be a disambiguation only. Tayste (edits) 03:06, 15 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

The result of this discussion was to merge. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 12:35, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I propose that Bayesian (a disambiguation page) be merged into List of things named after Thomas Bayes (a list article). Since List of things named after Thomas Bayes contains all the terms listed in Bayesian, the practical effect of the merge would be to redirect Bayesian (and Bayesian (disambiguation), Bayesians and Bayseian) to List of things named after Thomas Bayes. See the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bayesian which was closed as no consensus pending Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#Disambiguation of adjectives which has dried-up. @Shhhnotsoloud: This looks like a consensus. Would you like to do the honours? Tayste (edits) 00:46, 24 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I will, but I’m travelling just now with only an iPad: give me a couple of days. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:25, 24 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
