Pronunciation
editI pronounce it "bales" -- I am the genealogical researcher for my branch of the family, which resided in Suffolk County from the 1500's until my gr-gr- grandfather emigrated to the US in 1851.
In my research, there are few spellings that require the "bayless" pronunciation. Even misspellings imply the "bales" preference, such as the spelling, "beals" or "bails.".
I hope this has been helpful to you. I believe my email address is appended to this message. Reply, if yuou wish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.176.187.249 (talk) 18:55, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
If anyone knows the proper pronunciation, please add it. (I'm curious if it's the same as my surname.)Andrew John Bayles (talk) 15:52, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
