Robert McKee and Beats

It looks like Robert McKee talks about this concept in some of his books. That should be an adequte source Richardjames444 14:56, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

McKee says that a beat is the smallest unit of a story. The next bigger one would be the scene. So this way the description (5 minutes per beat) seems wrong since most scenes are shorter than five minutes. The examples McKee uses show that a beat appears every few seconds (may vary pretty much).
