I'm not sure about this but I'm thinking that maybe this article should mention that he has also appeared on other artists' albums, such as Air's 10,000Hz Legend... 84.217.143.77 00:26, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
1992 Demo / Buck Fuck Iowa
editI just took out the Buck Fuck Iowa title - it's unofficial (fan-given) and doesn't belong in a list w/ official titles. I think it should be on the individ. 1992 demo page if at all. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dnewton (talk • contribs) 15:32, 27 March 2007 (UTC).
Major/Indie discrepancy
editIs it really necessary to split up the major and indie albums? One Foot and ssm are really similar to Mellow Gold. I'm going to put them together. MMBKG 00:54, 28 May 2007
Unofficial releases
editRight now there is an "unofficial releases" section and an "unofficial albums" section. Leaving aside the redundancy, the releases in the former (i.e. Golden Feelings and AWHFBM) are not unofficial by any means. They were released on real, though small, labels.
I am also renaming "unofficial albums" to "non-label releases". I don't believe these should be called unofficial, as some were intended to be released and were distributed by Beck at the time of their recording (it would be great if someone could find a reference for this; I remember reading about him placing tapes for free in record stores, and giving them out at shows). Some of them also aren't really albums (e.g. Beck and Dava, a free-flow/live recording session; and Fresh Meat, a compilation of previously recorded/'released' songs).216.19.190.20 22:11, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

First album is missing
editBeck's debut album isn't even listed, why is that? Also, why are the main label and indie albums segregated? Zazaban (talk) 01:15, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Beck and Dava
editI'm not sure exactly how well known this tape is, but it's on the hub thing, and its definitely a tape. not necessarily a proper tape of songs selected and pieced together by Beck, but still notable seeing as how its the only appearance of any of the songs. I'm also in favor of integrating the indie albums/singles with the normal ones. just put an asterisk or something next to it signifying the difference. And does one foot really count as indie anymore seeing as how its just got a huge re-release by Geffen? Thakmere (talk) 03:55, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Seeing as how no one has done this, I will attempt to. Feel free to take it out if you have a reason why it shouldn't be in there tho.Thakmere (talk) 18:54, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Record club albums?
editAre these not being listed in the discography for some reason? Rhinowing (talk) 05:00, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well...they aren't exactly audio recordings. They haven't been released as audio recordings--they are individual videos. But it's a good question, given the direction music releases are moving in (not so much centered on officially released recordings). Candy 01:42, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Fuckin with My Head (Mountain Dew Rock)
editI may have been mistaken, or at least, not exactly correct, in changing "F***in'" to "Fuckin." It seems there is usually, in most sources, no apostrophe, but the way the song title is spelled varies from place to place. On the LP it is "Fukin." On the CD cover it's "F---in." On the cassette cover it's "F---in," but on the cassette itself, it's "Fuckin." ASCAP lists the song as "Fuckin," with an alternative title of "F---in." On his website now, it's "Fuckin'," but on his old website it was "Fuckin." Ha. So for the video, I am not sure what would be right. Candy 02:20, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Nausea and Cellphone's Dead versions
editWhy do Nausea and Cellphone's Dead not have version 1s listed? Candy 09:50, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
"Unreleased recordings" versus "Rare early recordings"
editAn unregistered editor has repeatedly changed "Unreleased recordings" to "Rare early recordings" without explaining why, so I have undone. To me, "rare" is subjective; I don't have a problem with "early," though it is vaguer than "unreleased." If there is a reason "unreleased" is inaccurate, would the editor please state it here? I am not opposed to changing it if there is actually a good reason to do so. Candy (talk) 05:41, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Massive upgrade and future fixes
editI have put a large amount of work into updating this discography into something that is easily readable. Most of the information was already present but very unorganized. I believe additional citations should be added, however I'm not sure where. Besides that, the Music videos section could use some attention, as it appears to be incomplete. Wasn't sure how multiple versions of videos should be listed or their order (since single and music video release dates don't always coincide), so I left that section alone. Also, should the Retail singles be broken up into decades? I bring this up for the sake of cutting down on the large amount of "—" that appear (mainly post Mutations era) in the table. Just an idea to help make it read better, let me know your thoughts. 67.169.52.181 (talk) 04:55, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
