editThe article strongly implies that bedders/scouts are all female. This hasn't been the case for many decades, and would actually be an illegal practice. Bedders/scouts are really just domestic cleaners nowadays, and I know several male scouts personally. It's even possible the majority are now male, though I don't have a good ref to support this. The days when they were matronly, motherly figures supporting lonely (male) undergraduates are long gone. Ef80 (talk) 16:11, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
