editRemoved the following:
- in many cases one that is no longer in the music industry or was not significant to the industry. This is as opposed to VH1's other biography show, VH1's Legends, which profiles musicians that have been very significant to the industry.
I'd take issue that the artists profiled were "not significant to the industry", and in any event it's not the type of statement verifiable by any objective standard. Ellsworth 17:13, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- This is VH1's way of differing BtM and Legends. Legends has the most significant artists (at least in VH1's opinion), while BtM has the moderately significant to insignificant ones (again, VH1's opinion). We could reinsert the section with such info on it being VH1's opinion and still be objective. The fact that some aren't in the industry any more is, however, perfectly objective. -- LGagnon 18:54, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- You're serious...VH1 considers Willie Nelson and Elton John "moderately significant" artists? What, pray tell, is the cutoff point? - However, if that really is their criterion, I spoze it should be noted in the article. Ellsworth 22:15, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Keep in mind, this is the same company that does MTV. They definitely aren't the experts on the subject of music. -- LGagnon 03:32, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Heh-heh-heh, you're right. Maybe we ought to also put that in the text of the article. Ellsworth 13:43, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Actually, I clarified the criteria statement to sound plausible and, at the very least, not to sound argumentive. Hiphats
I removed the "in production" from the Toby Keith episode...I watched it last week.
blink-182
editi noticed the arcticle stated there its an episonde on blink-182 in production.
i want to know if anyone has some hard evidence of this.
they're one of my favorite bands and i want to see this air.
- I just read an interview where they asked Mark about it, and he said he didn't know about it. So I have my doubts, but I want to see it to. Maybe in the future, but nothing real for now.

Two things:
1. The Styx "Behind the Music" Episode is referenced in the sitcom Scrubs, I believe in the "My White Whale" episode.
2. It is commonly referenced also by the all-time greatest episode by members of Generation Y, giving it a cult-like status.

editI see the infobox hasn’t been updated to reflect the revival. Why is that?--CreecregofLife (talk) 07:43, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
