Extensive additions
editI did not have all the info but found what I could and added it. Anyone else have ideas.--Aaronhumes 02:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- I deleted what appeared to be original research in a rambling and opinionated paragraph about Europeans effectively breeding with Africans to divide racial groups. The self-hating anti-Western spin is too POV for an article in Wikipedia. It is this sort of racist gibberish that Wikipedians need to delete. Belizean Kriol people → Belizean Creole people – Or move Belizean Creole → Belizean Kriol. I don't have a strong opinion about which (although I grew up writing it as "Kriol"). But for consistency, they should use the same spelling. Rennell435 (talk) 14:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose pending relevant information. English is not always consistent, and Wikipedia policy is not to be part of attempts to regulate it. So, the rationale given, that the two article titles should be consistent, is irrelevant. Andrewa (talk) 11:40, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, consistency is one of the principle criteria set out at WP:AT. Jenks24 (talk) 18:47, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- support Creole is definitely the common term in English speaking countries. Cliff (talk) 06:03, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The articles should be consistent. I must admit I haven't researched the topic, although I will trust Cliff that Creole is currently the most common English term. Jenks24 (talk) 18:47, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Number of Afro-Belizeans
editIf they are indeed about 260,000, then they would constitute more than half the population of Belize (not a mere 21%). The numbers provided here are in contradiction to those mentioned in the general Belize article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.126.135.229 (talk) 21:12, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

edit- Belizean Creole people → Afro-Belizeans – I think before it was correct to refer to black Belizeans as Afro-Belizeans than Creole because it does refer to people who were brought in from Africa and not a certain group of people like the Garifuna people. In this instance it is referring to a general group of people with not as specific ties. AquilaXIII (talk) 09:21, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
