Is it, though? Or is it just a "building"? It looks like a building to me. I always thought a "complex" was a group of structures connected in purpose. Is it possible the writer was so impressed with this edifice's stateliness that they felt only a term normally used for several buildings would do it justice? And are these complex questions?
