That would have been the Norman pronunciation yes, but Belvoir has been pronounced Beaver wherever it appears in England and Northern Ireland - the English have always been funny like that with Norman French names eg Cholmondeley being said as Chumley 21st CENTURY GREENSTUFF 00:22, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
