I've never put in a note like this, but here goes: The miniature painting titled "Saint Benedict of Aniane" is actually that of the founder, St.Benedict of Nursia, shown holding his Rule. I don't know how to change the picture, but an image of Benedict of Aniane is available at http://catholicsaints.info/saint-benedict-of-aniane/.Sister Elias Freeman, OSB.Sol 17:41, 15 May 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AniRigdzin (talkcontribs)

I put a citation needed in the last paragraph, since the first abbey mentioned according to its own wikipedia entry was actually reformed by St. Pirmin during the previous century. Thus, clearly the king didn't found it, though of course he could have given it more money, or arranged for Benedict to have more authority over it. I'd guess that this Benedict's base monastery where he died. Jweaver28 (talk) 13:07, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
