editAre the cucumbers shredded or pureed before they are added to the cream cheese? Whitebox (talk) 04:54, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- In the original recipe, they are juiced. In more modern variants, the cucumber is deseeded and chopped. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 20:24, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
Need a more representative image
editSince benedictine is more a spread than a dip, I think we need an image that represents that as the lead image. Here is one free image I've been able to find so far. Like, dislike? If you dislike, do you know of any other free images we could consider? Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 13:54, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- The image seems bland. Difficult to tell what is on the platter.
- Is there anyone around who likes to cook and also has access to a digital camera? It might be nice to get a picture that would highlight the traditional sandwich in a formal tea setting. A second picture that might be nice would be a picture of a more modern bacon containing sandwich that are currently being mention in the media.
- Would it be possible for someone in the Louisville area to contact Louisville-native Damaris Phillips [1][2]? For all we know, she might be able to give us some pictures.
- Just a few random thoughts. 99.186.235.6 (talk) 02:15, 14 August 2014 (UTC) (just another IP editor)
