1a
- "He was the mayor of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas from 1 January" Comma after Tamaulipas.
- Done
- "Benjamín Galván Gómez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico" Comma after Mexico.
- Done
- "neolaredenses" → Capitalize the first letter.
- Done
- List format ("(1)", "(2)", "(3)") can be removed as its not needed.
- Done
- "the mayor of Laredo, Texas Raul G. Salinas," Comma after Texas.
- Done
- "the forum "Dr. Rodolfo Torre Cantú" (also known as Polyforum La Fe)" This feels idiomatic. From the ref, "Polyforum" is the word from which the word forum is translated. In English, forum is rare when talking about a physical structure in which people gather. Is auditorium a better word perhaps? Or something else? Also, the Doctor's name needn't be in caps, you'll ultimately get something like The Dr. Rodolfo Torre Cantú Auditorium or whatever.
- Done Kept your suggestion.
- "its first Jurassic Park in Parque Narcisco Mendoza" What is a Jurassic Park? Is this something you could link to a Wiki article for? Because to the best of my knowledge, aren't Jurassic parks fictional?
- Done Source says "Jurásico", but check my copyediting and let me know if it is OK. Thanks.
- "near his home in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas on the evening of" Comma after Tamaulipas.
- Done
- "pick-up truck" → "pickup truck"
- Done
- "the town of García, Nuevo León was taken" Comma after Nuevo León.
- Done
- "On 11 March 2014, Mexican authorities had arrested Carlos Pérez González" → remove had.
- Done
- I have addressed all your concerns. Please let me know if there is anything else left to be done. Thanks again! ComputerJA (☎ • ✎) 23:55, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Check for acronyms that only appear in the article once. If you use a name only one time, acronyms aren't needed (ASF, for example).
- Done
1b
- Consider adding a sentence or two about what he accomplished as mayor to the lead to better summarize the article as a whole.
- Everything else in MOS looks good.
- Done
2
- Very consistent reference style, kudos for archiving sources used.
- Well cited throughout; no dubious statements made and a source in pretty much every sentence.
- No OR.
3
- Broad; touches on early life, mayorship, ownership of newspapers, post-mayorship, and murder.
- Does not go on tangents. You might consider transferring some of the text about the results of the election that he won into an electoral history section like this, but I don't think its a necessity for GA.
4
- Can anything more be said about "the audit office of the Mexican federal government discover[ing] two irregularities in the city's spending and budget"? Was Galván personally culpable for the irregularities? Were there any further investigations?
- Not done The investigation was brought to light a day before he was kidnapped so there isn't any good information available about it, unfortunately. It is likely that the case against him was closed because he was killed.
5
- Very stable; no concerns here.
6
- One image, used in infobox, appropriately tagged with FUR and hosted on en.wikipedia.
Just a few more points to address (1a, 1b, 4) and this article is Good! BobAmnertiopsis∴ChatMe! 00:34, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
