Original Research
editRemoved this piece of original research, written in first-person:
- I have evidence to the contrary. The circumstances of his death are recorded in my great grandmother's diary for 1880. Her husband was Benjamin's nephew. These are her words:
- Thursday March 4th ... Had a letter from Addie W. Brandreth [Benjamin's daughter-in-law, wife of B's son, Harry] saying she had a letter from America with some particulars of poor Uncle B. Brandreth’s death, it was very sudden indeed of heart disease he seemed quite well when he got up and he went out before breakfast as he came into breakfast he dropped down dead, it seems awfully sudden indeed.
