This article has been reviewed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force in an effort to ensure all listed Good articles continue to meet the Good article criteria. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, listed below. I will check back in seven days. If these issues are addressed, the article will remain listed as a Good article. Otherwise, it may be delisted (such a decision may be challenged through WP:GAR). If improved after it has been delisted, it may be nominated at WP:GAN. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions, and many thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this article thus far.

  • This article is generally excellent, but there are a few areas where it needs some tidying up.
Early life
Literary career
Protection
Bentinck and the Leadership
Imperialism
  • First and last paragraps are uncited.
Films depicting Disraeli
  • This looks suspiciously like a disguised Trivia section. Is this a complete list? What's its purpose? Can a case be made for keeping it?
Disraeli's Judaism
  • I'm not sure what the purpose of this section is supposed to be; it looks like it's just been tagged on at the end to include a quotation from a book review. Whatever's relevant here, if anything, would probably be better intergrated into the article proper.
    • Well, it's a special topic all of its own. Disraeli's relationship to Judaism (and Christianity) was unusual. The real issue is that most biographies have treated Disraeli from a political perspective (Monypenny & Buckle, Blake), which has left Disraeli's Judaism less explored. Adam Kirsch has written just in the last year or two a reassessment, but most of the article was written before that. I'm open to suggestions on integrating the information within the chronological structure of the article but I think it also works on its own. Mackensen (talk) 14:33, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Title and death
Disraeli's governments
  • we've already been told about Disraeli's governments earlier in the article. What's the point of listing them again in them again in this very short section?
References
  • The Encyclopedia Britannica is not a suitable source for an encyclopedia article.
    • Couldn't agree more. I have no idea why we have four cites for the fact that he's Britain's only Jewish prime minister. I don't know that it need be cited at all. Removed all but the cite to the official government website, which should do. Mackensen (talk) 14:33, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
