This material is all from an out-of-print book from a long-dead author. I don't really see how anyone can have a copyright on re-stating this material and I'm not sure why it was placed on copyrigth violation. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brockmanah (talk • contribs) 9:52, 11 January 2006.

It was marked as a copyright violation as you didn't provide the source and it's a direct match to websites that also don't list the source. As such, it could only be assumed it was from those sites and therefore under copyright. Please remember to sign your talk page contributions. It's also a good idea to use subject headings. This article is not in a format appropriate for a Wikipedia biography article. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies). If you'd like to see some examples of Civil War bio articles, look at the list in User:Hlj. Hal Jespersen 23:00, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, I lost patience. I don't think you took advantage of the examples I pointed you to. The one irregularity I left in place was the prominent inclusion of his brother. He should have his own article if he's of any significance. I removed that photo of Marye's Heights because it was irrelevant (at least based on the text you provided). The Bloody Angle

edit

The Battle for the Bloody Angle could perhaps more clearly reference the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse of which it was a part (right now it looks like the link may just be to an entry about the courthouse).

In the end the Battle for the Bloody Angle deserves its own page or at least its own section - within the Spotsylvania Courthouse Battle page, I mean. (Books have been written about the events of those 23 hours, which prefigured the trench warfare of WWI.) Once that happens, the current redirect for Battle of the Bloody Angle that points to this page should probably point there.

I may have time to add such a page (or section) in the next few days. Praghmatic (talk) 16:51, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
