Worlds Oldest corporation

edit

Is Beretta really the world's oldest corporation? There are far older businesses ([1]), and Beretta is only the 14th oldest family business. Were the 13 other companies late to become corporations?

Oldest Arms Manufacture

edit

From the Henokiens' website @ http://www.henokiens.com/index_beretta_gb.php

"1526 The oldest arms manufacturing company in the world, spanning over sixteen generations"

Something could be added to this article about the CX4 Storm. If nobody else does, I will the next time I get the chance. --UNHchabo 08:08, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bond

edit

James Bond uses a Beretta right up to the beginning of Dr No (the first one) when it's replaced with a Walther PPK. Ok, it might not be Dr. No, I don't remember off the top of my head, infact it seems unlikely since there are publicity shots of Sean Connery with a Beretta, but at some point the character of James Bond carried (as was quite attached to) a Beretta. RE: Bond

edit

That would be a .25 Beretta, not sure which model, probably the Beretta 950 from the little you see of it in Dr.No (the film). Anyway, in the novels and the movies Bond is given the PPK in Dr.No.

Poor Quality

edit

So for a company established in the 16th century, the "history" section starts in the 20th? Most of this seems just to be regurgitated stolen copy from the company website. This is not a valid source -- it is obviously biased. It's also promotional in tone, this is a commercial business and this piece of fluff is helping their sales.

The majority of this article is just a pointless list of weapons.

The grammar and syntax of the article is non-native English.

Rare Beretta automatic pistol

edit

I am searching for a particular Beretta 32 caliber semi automatic pistol called the NEW Puma. I have the weapon but have found no information about its history or value except it was used by the Italian Navy. I'm researching it's value and would like to hear from any expert about more information on it. The original grip has PUMA on it and I use 32 ammo in it.I have researched Beretta site and have had no success on more information or worth. I have taken it to many gun shows and no (experts) can tell me about it and have never seen one. Insufficient sources to verify that the Vatican Bank was the main shareholder

edit

The articles reference to the Vatican Bank being a main shareholder is backed up with two external sources. Non of which provide sufficient evidence of this being true. One of the sources https://www.firstthings.com/blogs/firstthoughts/2015/06/the-vatican-and-arms-dealers even claims that they cannot find the evidence.

This should be reviewed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.160.40.86 (talk) 14:34, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Naming Conventions

edit

Why is every firearm listed in this article prefaced with the name Beretta M..., Beretta 19..., This is an article about Beretta. It is obvious that every firearm listed is a Beretta. 72.43.136.100 (talk) 13:15, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
