With regard to his successor as Lord Lieutenant of Sussex, the post would have ceased to exist with the partitioning of the county in 1974, hence his becoming Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex

editthe category "English Roman Catholics" is included at the bottom, but there is no mention of this in the article and nothing to support it.
